Mustangs West February 2008 Newsletter


 
Meeting was called to order at 7:17 By Karena
 
Karena gave the club a reminder that those who are voting for the new board need to have there dues renewed before the vote.
 
Jean gave the Treasurers report and a motion was made and approved
 
Chris gave the Secretaries report and was a motion was made and approved
 
Karena made an announcement on who the candidates were for the board to be voted on
 
Jim passed out ballots for voting
 
New members were introduced and Seth Brown submitted an application and talked about his Mustang.
 
Karena spoke about the Pierce County Club's Sweetcard Cruise coming up, as well as the 5 card Poker Draw cruise that they are also sponsoring
 
The club received a letter from St Pete's regarding their thanks for our donations of stuffed animals.
 
Jim collected Ballots and Karena counted the votes
 
Jim spoke about the Roush P51 and 5Star Fords request that Mustangs West give opinions on whether we thought they should purchase one, as well as our thoughts on them becoming a Saleen Dealer in addition to Shelby and Roush.  Mike from 5Star also asked if we would show up in force to the 5Star 500 Car show in July, and a cruise in at the Elma Fairgrounds.  Mike is also setting up a website that will link to our site, and show on the commercials
 
Jim suggested that we do several mini cruises to 5Star to show our appreciation
 
New voted board members were announced:
 
Karena as President
Darla as Vice President
Wendy as Secretary
Robert as Treasurer
 
Lou spoke about the 2 bills regarding emissions and cubic inch of engine tax that was on the table with the legislature
 
Patrick touched on the issue, as well as Al
 
New Toys were announced
 
Jim spoke about WC and Tammy Petty had moved into their new home
 
Seth spoke about installing a nav system with a stock 460 stereo system
 
Pat and Ted received new personalized plates.
 
Meeting was adjourned at 8:11 pm
