Meeting was called to order
by President at 7:11 P.M. on September 6th.
Treasurers report was given
by the Treasurer and approved.
Minutes from August were
posted on internet, read and approved with one
correction to be made: Notice of Date still shows July
instead of August.
New guests were introduced,
Jake and Julie
Al and Karena talked about
the Elma cruise.
Jim discussed the new
classes for our September car show
The board passed around a
sign up sheet for volunteers for the upcoming show. It
was reiterated that people will need to show up at 6 am
to prep the site and help out.
Raffle co-chair Taylor gave
a review of raffle items collected so far.
Jim talked about the
Edelbrock goodie bags he received plus other vendor
items.
A Bowen Scarff show review
was given by Taylor and Pierce County show review by
Jim.
Karena talked about our 30
pre-registrations we have received, more so far than
most of the shows we have had.
Jim spoke about the Hot Rods
and Hot Dogs show in Olympia and got a head count on who
was going, as well as mentioning the XXX car show the
weekend of the 8th and 9th, which happens to coincide
with not only the rod show at Huntamer Park, but the
Yakima car show.
Chris talked about Plum St.
Automotive and their mini show off they are having the
Saturday before our club's show. Chris will send out
more info later via email.
Mike from 5Star talked about
TV and Radio spots for our carshow.
Karena and Jim brought out
the club cartoon Tshirts they had made which will sell
for $10 each.
Lou is looking for insulated
sockets to use on his wheel nuts without marring them.
Suggestions were given by new guest Jake, and Chris. He
also mentioned a stuffed doll drive in Shelton that will
be taking place, more info to come.
Jim and Karena spoke about
the progressive dinner date and hosts, and it may appear
that we have all spots filled, and a tentative date for
it on October 13th. We will decide at the next meeting
on whether it will also be a costumed event.
Raffle was done.
