Mustangs West November 2007 Newsletter


 
November Meeting started at 7:10 P.M.
 
Karena started the meeting with an announcement that all board positions are available for occupancy for the 2008 year.  Nominees should be made at January's meeting.
 
Members talked about how to spend the monies designated for charity and 4 were offered for consideration: Grays Harbor food & clothing bank, Feline Friends cat adoption, Nurse Family Partnerships, and the collection of St. Pete's stuffed animals for emergency sections of hospitals, for kids. 
 
Jim announced that we would be voting for member of the year at tonight's meeting and passed voting slips to be collected at the end of the meeting.  The announcement would be made at the Christmas Party and awarded.
 
New members/guests were introduced
 
Old business was talked about: Jim and Karena thanked all that participated and helped for the progressive dinner.  It went off well and the travel times and path worked great.  Patrick's house of treasures was entertaining as usual.  
 
Brad talked about the Pierce County cruise to the Mustang Shop.
 
Karena mentioned the Fantasy Lights cruise was coming up on December the 1st at 6pm.  Meeting place is Godfather's Pizza.
 
Jim and Karena discussed with the club the Club's Christmas Party that will be at the Columbian Hall in Lacey at 5pm on the 15th of December.  A sign up sheet will be distributed at the meeting, and emailed to the members for review and/or participation.  Chris and Karena will cook the Ham's, and Dayna and ?(Al?) will cook the turkey (s).
 
Karena talked again, about the upcoming voting for the new board and chair positions, and those who want to vote must have dues paid by January.  Chris and Jean will arrive at 6:30 to take care of renewals.
 
The Charities were voted on and each recieved a dispursement:  Nurse Family received 40%, St. Pete's Teddy Bear's recieved 25%, Feline Friends and Grey's Harbor food bank split the remaining percentage.
 
Mustangs West club presented an award of appreciation to Mike from 5Star for the generousity and contributions made to the club.
 
Christmas Party was touched on regarding the gifts of about $20 max, and the club will purchase presents for the children.
 
New Toys:  Ed god a new Axle Back exhaust, and Jim purchased yet another car. 
 
Meeting was adjourned at 8pm.
