Mustangs West February 2007 Newsletter


Meeting was called to order at 7:05pm by President Adam Jones

Treasurer’s report was given and approved

Minutes from January’s meeting were approved at posted on line

Al Schaffler is finishing up orders for Mustangs West logo attire, an order sheet was circulated and then recapped

Nominees for Secretary and Treasurer were needed. Previous nominees had to drop from the election due to work schedules. Chris Hutchison volunteered for the position Secretary and Jean Doan volunteered for the position of Treasurer

Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees were introduced, balloting followed
Calendar of upcoming events was discussed, including The Daffodil Parade, Pt. Angeles show, a car care seminar at Griots on Mar 24, and a car show at Harnish, P.O.C. for that show is Del Wiggins

Mustangs West's car show planning was updated. The committee will be put together next month. Those interested should contact Dayna Matthews

Mustang Wranglers in Oregon has challenged Mustangs West to have more of our cars attend their show than theirs attending ours

Clista Rakow gave a recap of the website changes

The idea to have a myspace page for Mustangs West has been shelved

Al Schaffler is our new regional MCA rep. He relayed the information from MCA regarding a membership special they are offering for active duty military service members. MCA is also looking for an active duty service member to act as a contact

Jim Cassidy discussed the ongoing "Modified" debate

Guests were welcomed

Details regarding our new meeting location are that will we not be charge for the space

HorsePower Connection in Olympia would like to host a dyno-day, 10-12 cars would be needed. P.O.C. Jim Cassidy

Brian Willets has sold his Mustang to Shan Dobson. He hopes to see members at upcoming track events.

Election results were read: 2007 Mustangs West board members are, president, Karena Peterson, Vice President Jim Cassidy, Secretary, Chris Hutchison and Treasurer, Jean Doan.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:15pm
