March 2, 2006 Meeting Minutes

President Adam Jones called meeting to order at 7:29pm

Treasurers Report: Brenda Costanzo presented the treasurers report and it was accepted as read.

Minutes: Presented by Adam and was accepted as posted on the website.

New News: Account is being moved to Key Bank and both accounts will be combined, regular and show account. There are no fees for this. Bank is easier to get to than our current one.
It was brought up by the president that we should hold off with charity donations till September to be able to provide thanksgiving and Christmas for local Charities. This will also allow us to use monies until then to pre buy shirts for show and be able to wear them in advance of our show to gain interest.
MCA e-mail looking to gain member but also help fund clubs, Great benefits by joining, just visit www.mustang.org to join.
Showtime Motor sports car delivery, they do club members, pro athletes and celebrities.

Old News: Breakfast cruise went well. Another cruise is on March 18th in Elma, bring along a 5x7 picture of your car and they will display it.
Looking for a few good people to help the point’s committee track points and attendance at events. Also looking for suggestions on what the point leaders should be presented at the progressive dinner. Things that count as points are as follows: car shows, events that 3 or more members attend, and specialty events. Please e-mail events that you attend to Vice President Jim Cassidy.
Events: Rock -N-Bowl March 4th
Ms Car Washes March 11th and 25th
Griot’s Garage Seminar on the 25th 10:00am in Tacoma- Drag Racing to follow if weather cooperates
Daffodil Parade April 22nd, and also on the 22nd Mustangs and Cougars at the courthouse.
Lakefair Parade July 22nd, local parade committee has approached club to be involved. Looking for late-model conv. Will know Monday # needed. Show units needed for parade- Saleens, Cobra’s, old classics. Please e-mail Al Schaffler @ dawgfan61@comcast.net. They also need individuals to volunteer to help run and setup parade. 4th of July parade- no news yet.

The Club Points System:
 
The club has established a points system to reward members who participate in club activities. The new points system is as  follows:
 
Club Meetings:
1 point for attending,1 point for driving a Mustang to the meeting
Club Outings:
2 points for attending,2 points for driving a Mustang, 2 points for hosting an outing
Club Show:
4 points for showing or displaying a Mustang,2 points for working at the show.
Your overall points will be totaled at the end of the year and a gift certificate for dinner will be given to the winner.
