Mustangs West Meeting
July 6, 2006

Meeting called to order at 7:10pm by President Adam Jones
Minutes: Sara presented minutes are posted on website and accepted as posted
Treasurer report: Brenda presented report and was accepted as read
New members: Charles & Claudia Manley, Greg Sinnett and Kerin Elder. A warm welcome to the club
Old Business: Al recapped the Fort Warden cruise, very good turnout and nice time. A very special thanks to the hosts of the 4th of July picnic, Jerry and Lucy. Picnic was great everyone had a good time. Al recapped the 4th of July parade in Tumwater, very good parade turnout. This is the first time the club has entered in as a group. Always remember proper parade etiquette when promoting the club. Jim recapped the Ft. Lewis 4th of July car show. Very nice weather, six members went, crowd was awesome and there were 31 mustangs at show.

New News: Adam went over the current leaders in club points. Club voted on Emerald downs day, was not enough who wanted to attend so club opted to use money to fund the progressive dinner which brings out most of the club members. Start thinking now of what we all want to eat, bring ideas to meeting in August and menu will be decided on. Dinner is going to be held on October 14; Patrick has volunteered his home as the ending stop. We need to get volunteers for all other stops: appetizers, salads, main course and deserts. Del has had a new flyer made up to spark new membership, should be at club meeting soon to pass out. Meeting start time has been changed to 7:00, instead of 7:30.
Upcoming events: This Saturday the 8th Fugate Ford is having a free show. July 15th show at Olympia’s K-mart parking lot. Mustangs North West, Round Up July 13-16. Mustang stampede, July 22nd in Vancouver. Also on 22nd “Cruise the Narrows”. July 23rd “Mustangs on the water front”. July 29th –August 6th “Hot August Nights”.
Lake fair parade July 22nd, Al has enough volunteers for the event. Those people carrying VIP’s meet at the Thurston County courthouse at 3:30. Others in parade meet at Golf course at 3:00. Any other questions please contact Al dawgfan61@comcast.net. Ride-n-Drive July 11th. August 12th Bremerton Race way all Ford Drags $25. Aug 11th Spokane raceway event. Contact Brian Brian_Willett@worldnet.att.net for more info. P51 photo opportunity at Olympia air museum August 6th at 1pm. Contact Jim meneep@aol.com. New website picture contest. Members guess whose car and where, winners will be awarded. Please send your photos to Jim meneep@aol.com.
Operation Backpack: please bring a backpack full of school supplies to the August meeting. These will be donated to local schools. Contact Al for more details dawgfan61@comcast.net.
Club Car Show: September 24th- Flyers have been made up to hand out at other car shows. Show shirts are already for sale, get your before there are all gone. Shirts are on sale at All-Star ford. Organization of the show committees has begun. Registration/Balloting: Shirley, Clista and Brenda
Parking: Jim and Eric- Will need a few volunteers to direct traffic
Set up: Need a lot of volunteers here, want to be ready early for the people
Raffle Table/ Merchandise table: Sara, Wendy, Ann and Judy

Canopies: Al is working on
Tear down: Group effort needed
